Threat actor associated with malicious Go packages "github[.]com/bpoorman/uuid" and "github[.]com/bpoorman/uid," which were identified by Socket as typosquatting trusted UUID libraries. The packages had reportedly been available since 2021 and were designed to exfiltrate data to the paste site dpaste when a helper function named "valid" is invoked. The activity is part of broader supply chain attacks targeting developer tools and open-source ecosystems.
