Stored XSS to RCE in SiYuan Bazaar marketplace
CVE-2026-56397 is a critical vulnerability in SiYuan before v3.6.1 caused by improper sanitization of Bazaar marketplace package metadata and README content. Malicious package authors can inject arbitrary HTML and JavaScript into package fields including displayName, description, and README. When a user browses the Bazaar marketplace, the injected content is rendered and triggers stored cross-site scripting. Because the application uses Electron with nodeIntegration enabled, the XSS condition can be escalated to operating system command execution, resulting in remote code execution on the client system.
