Remote Code Execution in Upsonic MCP Task Creation
CVE-2026-30625 is a remote code execution vulnerability in Upsonic 0.71.6 affecting the MCP server/task creation functionality. Upsonic allows users to define MCP tasks with command and args values. Although the product implements an allowlist intended to restrict executable commands, certain allowlisted commands such as npm and npx still accept argument flags that can be abused to execute arbitrary operating system commands. The issue is therefore a command injection / allowlist-bypass condition in the handling of MCP stdio task configuration, where attacker-controlled arguments reach OS-level process execution paths. Maliciously crafted MCP tasks can cause arbitrary commands to run with the privileges of the Upsonic process.
