Predictable SSO Tickets in ManageEngine Products Leading to Account Takeover

IdentifiersCVE-2026-11374CWE-340

CVE-2026-11374 is a critical vulnerability affecting Zoho ManageEngine ADSelfService Plus, RecoveryManager Plus, M365 Manager Plus, and ADAudit Plus. In affected versions, the SSO tickets generated to authenticate a session are predictable. Because these authentication tickets can be guessed or derived by an unauthenticated remote attacker, the attacker can forge or reuse valid session-authentication material and impersonate legitimate users. The issue is fundamentally a weakness in the generation of security-sensitive values used for session authentication.

ANALYST BRIEF

Impact, mitigation & remediation

What it means. What to do now. Patch path, mitigations, and the assume-compromise checklist.

Impact

What an attacker gets, and what they’ve been doing with it.

Successful exploitation can allow an unauthenticated remote attacker to take over user accounts by predicting valid SSO tickets and authenticating as another user. Based on the provided severity metadata, the vulnerability has high confidentiality, integrity, and availability impact and a changed scope, indicating compromise of authenticated sessions and access to resources or actions available to the impersonated account.

Mitigation

If you can’t patch tonight, do this now.

If immediate patching is not possible, reduce exposure of affected ManageEngine instances to untrusted networks, restrict access to SSO-related interfaces to trusted administrative or internal networks, and monitor for anomalous session creation or account activity that could indicate ticket prediction and session abuse. The primary recommended action in the provided content is to apply vendor updates.

Remediation

Patch, then assume compromise.

Update affected Zoho ManageEngine products to vendor-patched versions that correct the predictable SSO ticket generation issue. The provided content specifically states that ADSelfService Plus, RecoveryManager Plus, M365 Manager Plus, and ADAudit Plus should be updated to remediate the vulnerability.
