CVE-2026-46315 is an information disclosure vulnerability in the Linux kernel io_uring implementation for IORING_OP_WAITID. The io_uring waitid path stores result fields in struct io_waitid::info and later copies that data to a userspace siginfo structure. During request preparation, the request arguments are initialized, but the embedded result storage (info) was not initialized. If the wait operation completes without reporting a child event, the common wait code may return without populating wo_info. In that case, io_waitid_finish() can still copy iw->info to userspace, disclosing stale bytes left in reused io_kiocb command storage. The fix clears the result storage during prep so behavior matches the regular waitid syscall path, which uses a zero-initialized struct waitid_info.
