FIN10

Also known asFIN10

FIN10 is a financially motivated threat actor. In the provided content, FIN10 is described using PowerShell and malicious .bat files containing PowerShell commands for execution, including use of PowerShell Empire. For persistence, FIN10 established Registry Run key persistence via the Registry option in PowerShell Empire and also used S4U tasks and the Scheduled Task option in PowerShell Empire. The group relied on publicly available software to gain footholds and maintain persistence in victim environments. For lateral movement, FIN10 used RDP to move to other systems in victim environments. The content also states FIN10 used Meterpreter to enumerate users on remote systems. FIN10 additionally used batch scripts and scheduled tasks to delete critical system files.
