BlackSuit is a ransomware group described as a successor to the earlier Conti and Royal crews. In the provided content, it is associated with ransomware extortion activity against more than 100 organizations. During Operation Checkmate, law enforcement seized the group’s main Tor sites, including its leak page and negotiation portals, as well as supporting servers and cryptocurrency linked to ransom payments. The operation reportedly blocked ongoing extortion attempts and limited the group’s ability to manage new victims. Known related predecessor crews mentioned in the content are Conti and Royal.
