Android.Triada
Android.Triada is a multifunctional Android trojan family that Doctor Web reported was embedded into the firmware of multiple budget smartphones in 2025, including in supply-chain and preinstalled-firmware compromise scenarios. Doctor Web described Android.Triada trojans as dangerous because they can infect the Android Zygote system process, allowing them to inject themselves into any application and effectively gain broad or full control over the device. Reported capabilities include downloading and installing additional malware, unwanted applications, and adware; spying on victims; and subscribing users to paid services. The content specifically associates Triada with firmware-level infections on Android devices and notes that packers for Android.Triada trojans were also observed, including use with malicious Telegram messenger modifications in which the trojans were embedded. The malware targets Android devices, particularly budget smartphones with compromised firmware.
