U.S. Cyber Command has been grappling with a suicide cluster involving personnel who worked for or closely with the command at Fort Meade, with reporting indicating that as many as five people died by suicide between early June and early July. Bloomberg reported that the command applied the suicide-cluster designation because the deaths occurred in a compressed period, while officials had not determined that the deaths were causally connected.
