Trezor Urges CryptoBilis Buyers to Move Funds Over Suspected Wallet Implant

Trezor has urged customers who bought hardware wallets from CryptoBilis or stores supplied by it from March 2026 onward to move their cryptocurrency to a newly generated wallet with a new recovery seed. The precautionary warning follows a report of a suspected hardware implant in a Trezor Safe 5 that could capture recovery phrases displayed on the device and transmit them over a cellular network. The advisory covers all Trezor models purchased through the affected sales channels, although only one suspected device has been reported.
The alleged Trezor compromise remains unconfirmed: the company has not yet examined the device, laboratory confirmation is pending, and no CryptoBilis buyer has reported stolen funds to Trezor. A separate Ledger investigation confirmed physical tampering in some devices supplied by the same reseller, raising concerns about the distribution channel without establishing that the suspected Trezor implant is genuine. Affected customers should transfer funds to a newly generated wallet with a new seed, leave uninitialized devices unused, and contact official Trezor Support about replacement options.
