Google’s November 2026 Android security updates address 216 vulnerabilities, including roughly two dozen critical-severity issues, affecting Android 14, 15, 16, and 17. The most severe flaw, CVE-2026-58868 in Android Framework, could allow remote code execution without additional execution privileges or user interaction. Other critical issues include System vulnerabilities CVE-2026-58876 and CVE-2026-58936, alongside two Bluetooth privilege-escalation flaws in the kernel.
The 2026-11-01 patch level resolves 119 vulnerabilities in Framework, System, and Android Runtime, while 2026-11-05 adds fixes for 97 vulnerabilities in kernel and hardware-vendor components. The bulletin also lists CVE-2026-58882, an SMS-triggered vulnerability that can remotely disable Android smartphones; Google says it provided a patch in October. Separate Android XR and Wear OS updates address additional high-severity vulnerabilities. Organizations should verify installed patch levels across supported devices and coordinate deployment with manufacturers, as update availability varies by device and vendor.
