Fake $750 Apple Cash Offer Funnels Users Into Affiliate App Promotions
Social Engineering & Fraud · 3 sources · Updated 3d ago · First seen Nov 4, 2026

A fraudulent Apple-themed webpage promises visitors $750 in Apple Cash for completing a supposed device-verification process, but instead funnels them through affiliate tracking links to app and game promotions. Malwarebytes found that the page’s eligibility checks, verification results, reward notifications, scarcity claims, and countdown are fabricated or timer-driven rather than tied to genuine verification. Users never receive the promised payment.
Tracking labels suggest the operators may earn commissions from registrations or subsequent spending, although their compensation arrangements remain unconfirmed. Users risk disclosing personal information, making unnecessary purchases, and encountering additional scams. The investigation found no evidence that Reco Social or the other destination apps operated the fraudulent page; users should avoid submitting information or spending money to unlock the purported reward.
