CVE-2025-40809 is an out-of-bounds write vulnerability in Siemens Solid Edge SE2024 (all versions prior to V224.0 Update 14) and SE2025 (all versions prior to V225.0 Update 6). The vulnerability exists in the application's parser for PRT files, where specially crafted files can trigger an out-of-bounds write condition. This flaw can be exploited by an attacker to crash the application or potentially execute arbitrary code in the context of the current user.
