Authentication Bypass in OwnID Passwordless Login for WordPress
CVE-2025-10294 is a critical authentication bypass vulnerability in the OwnID Passwordless Login plugin for WordPress affecting all versions up to and including 1.3.4. The flaw is caused by improper validation of the ownid_shared_secret value during JWT-based authentication. Specifically, the plugin does not properly verify that ownid_shared_secret is non-empty before authenticating a user. On installations where the plugin has been installed but not fully configured, an unauthenticated attacker can abuse this logic flaw to authenticate as arbitrary users, including administrator accounts, without possessing valid credentials.
