CVE-2000-0293 is a local arbitrary-file-deletion vulnerability in the aaa_base package in SuSE Linux 6.3 and cron.daily scripts in earlier SuSE Linux versions. The affected cleanup logic processes expired files in the temporary-files directory without correctly quoting or delimiting filenames containing spaces. A local attacker can create a specially named file that is parsed as multiple values, causing the cleanup process to delete arbitrary files with its effective privileges.
