CVE-2002-1178 is a relative path traversal vulnerability in Jetty HTTP Server's CGIServlet before version 4.1.0. The servlet does not adequately neutralize Windows-style dot-dot-backslash traversal sequences in attacker-controlled HTTP requests, allowing traversal outside the intended CGI directory and execution of arbitrary commands.
