A vulnerability in SYMNDIS.SYS, a driver used by Symantec Norton Internet Security 2003/2004, Norton Personal Firewall 2003/2004, Client Firewall 5.01/5.1.1, and Client Security 1.0/1.1, allows remote attackers to trigger an infinite loop by sending a specially crafted TCP packet. The packet must contain either the SACK option or the Alternate Checksum Data option, each followed by a length field set to zero. This malformed option handling leads to a denial of service condition in the affected products.
