ngIRCd versions before 0.8.2 contain an integer-underflow flaw in the Lists_MakeMask() function in lists.c. A remotely supplied overly long IRC MODE line can cause an incorrect length calculation. The resulting underflow leads to a buffer overflow, causing an application crash and potentially enabling arbitrary code execution.
