A cross-zone scripting vulnerability exists in the WMI Object Broker (WMIScriptUtils.WMIObjectBroker2) ActiveX control (WmiScriptUtils.dll) in Microsoft Visual Studio 2005. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to bypass Internet zone restrictions and execute arbitrary code by instantiating dangerous objects via the vulnerable ActiveX control. The issue is due to improper enforcement of security zones, enabling code execution with elevated privileges when the control is invoked from a less trusted zone.

This repository contains a single Metasploit exploit module targeting a code execution vulnerability in Microsoft Internet Explorer (MS06-014, CVE-2006-0003 and MS06-073, CVE-2006-4704). The exploit abuses vulnerable ActiveX/COM objects via a crafted HTML/JavaScript page served by the attacker's HTTP server. When a victim visits the malicious page using a vulnerable version of Internet Explorer on Windows, the exploit attempts to instantiate a series of known-vulnerable COM objects (by CLSID) and uses them to execute arbitrary code. The payload (typically a Windows executable, such as a reverse shell) is downloaded from the attacker's server (via the '/payload' endpoint) and saved to the victim's TEMP directory, then executed. The module is highly weaponized, leveraging Metasploit's payload system for flexible post-exploitation. The code is written in Ruby (Metasploit module) and generates JavaScript for the client-side exploit. The main entry point is the 'on_request_uri' method, which serves both the exploit HTML and the payload executable. No external IPs or domains are hardcoded; the attack is delivered via the Metasploit HTTP server.
