The tblinf32.dll (also known as vstlbinf.dll) ActiveX control for Internet Explorer 5.01, 6 SP1, and 7 contains an incorrect implementation of the IObjectSafety interface. This flaw allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code by manipulating the HelpString property. Specifically, a crafted DLL file argument to the TypeLibInfoFromFile function can overwrite the HelpStringDll property, resulting in a call to the DLLGetDocumentation function in an attacker-supplied DLL.
