CVE-2008-0702 is a multiple heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability in Titan FTP Server 6.03 and 6.0.5.549. The flaw is triggered when a remote attacker sends an overly long argument to the USER or PASS FTP command. Improper bounds handling in the server’s processing of these authentication commands can overflow heap-allocated memory, leading to process instability and potentially enabling arbitrary code execution. The issue is noted as involving vectors different from CVE-2004-1641.
