A format string vulnerability exists in the logDetail function of applib.dll in McAfee Common Management Agent (CMA) 3.6.0.574 (Patch 3) and earlier, as used in ePolicy Orchestrator 4.0.0 build 1015. The vulnerability is triggered when format string specifiers are included in the sender field of an AgentWakeup request sent to UDP port 8082. This issue is only exploitable when the debug level is set to 8, allowing remote attackers to crash the service or potentially execute arbitrary code.
