CVE-2012-2576 is an SQL injection vulnerability in the LoginServlet login page of SolarWinds Storage Manager, Storage Profiler, and Backup Profiler prior to version 5.1.2. The loginName field is insufficiently protected from SQL injection, allowing a remote attacker to submit input that executes arbitrary SQL commands.

This repository contains a single Metasploit module targeting a SQL injection vulnerability in SolarWinds Storage Manager 5.1.0's login interface. The exploit works by sending a crafted SQL query to the /LoginServlet endpoint, which writes a malicious JSP file to the web root directory on the target server. This JSP, when triggered, downloads and executes a custom Windows executable payload (generated by Metasploit) under the SYSTEM context. The module includes logic to check for the presence of the vulnerable application, deliver the payload, and clean up the uploaded JSP file after exploitation. The attack vector is network-based, requiring access to the web interface (default port 9000). The main fingerprintable endpoints are the /LoginServlet path and the location of the uploaded JSP file. The exploit is operational and provides remote code execution on vulnerable SolarWinds Storage Manager installations.
