CVE-2013-10049 is an OS command injection vulnerability affecting multiple Raidsonic NAS devices, specifically confirmed on IB-NAS5220 and IB-NAS4220. The flaw is present in the web interface's unauthenticated timeHandler.cgi endpoint. The CGI script does not properly sanitize user-controlled input supplied via the timeZone parameter in a POST request, allowing attacker-controlled data to be incorporated into shell command execution. As a result, a remote attacker can inject arbitrary operating system commands without authentication.

This repository contains a single Metasploit module targeting Raidsonic NAS devices (IB-NAS5220 and IB-NAS4220) vulnerable to unauthenticated remote command execution (CVE-2013-10049). The exploit leverages a command injection flaw in the /cgi/time/timeHandler.cgi endpoint, which is accessible without authentication. The module sends a series of crafted HTTP POST requests to this endpoint to kill the existing inetd process, write a new inetd configuration to a temporary file, start a telnet daemon on a random high port, and append a new root user to /etc/passwd. Upon success, the module connects to the new telnet service and provides the attacker with an interactive root shell. The exploit is operational and potentially destabilizing, as it modifies system files and services. The code is written in Ruby and is structured as a standard Metasploit exploit module.
