GLPI versions before 0.84.2 fail to secure the install/install.php script after installation, leaving it accessible. This allows remote attackers to exploit CSRF vulnerabilities to perform SQL injection via the Etape_4 action or execute arbitrary PHP code via the update_1 action. The vulnerability is present in inc/central.class.php, which does not properly restrict access to the installation script post-setup.

This repository contains a single Metasploit module (modules/exploits/multi/http/glpi_install_rce.rb) that exploits a remote command execution vulnerability in the GLPI 'install.php' script (CVE-2013-5696). The exploit targets GLPI version 0.84 or older, allowing an attacker to inject arbitrary PHP code via a crafted POST request to /glpi/install/install.php. The module then triggers execution of the payload by sending a GET request to /glpi/index.php with a random GET parameter. The exploit is operational and provides remote command execution as the web server user, but it overwrites the target's database configuration, which may cause instability. The code is written in Ruby and is designed to be used within the Metasploit framework.
