CVE-2013-7471 is a command injection vulnerability in the SOAP management interface exposed through soap.cgi?service=WANIPConn1 on multiple D-Link router models, including DIR-845 before v1.02b03, DIR-600 before v2.17b01, DIR-645 before v1.04b11, DIR-300 rev. B, and DIR-865 devices. The flaw is caused by insufficient sanitization of user-supplied input in SOAP POST parameters, specifically the NewInternalClient, NewExternalPort, or NewInternalPort elements. An attacker can inject shell metacharacters into these fields so that crafted input is interpreted by the underlying system shell rather than treated strictly as data. Successful exploitation can result in arbitrary command execution on the affected device.
