CVE-2014-0099 is an integer-overflow flaw in Apache Tomcat and JBoss Web request Content-Length parsing. The affected parser did not validate that the numeric Content-Length value could be represented without overflow. A crafted Content-Length header can therefore cause the reverse proxy and the backend Tomcat or JBoss Web server to interpret HTTP request boundaries differently, enabling HTTP request smuggling. Affected upstream Tomcat versions include 6.0.0 through 6.0.39, 7.0.0 through 7.0.52, and 8.0.0-RC1 through 8.0.3.
