CVE-2014-0556 is a heap-based buffer overflow affecting Adobe Flash Player, Adobe AIR, Adobe AIR SDK, and Adobe AIR SDK & Compiler. Affected versions include Adobe Flash Player before 13.0.0.244 and 15.0.0.152 on Windows and OS X, before 11.2.202.406 on Linux, Adobe AIR before 15.0.0.249 on Windows and OS X and before 15.0.0.252 on Android, and Adobe AIR SDK and AIR SDK & Compiler before 15.0.0.249. The flaw can be triggered through unspecified input vectors and may corrupt heap memory in a way that allows arbitrary code execution. It is distinct from CVE-2014-0559.

This repository contains a single Metasploit module targeting CVE-2014-0556, an integer overflow vulnerability in the copyPixelsToByteArray method of Adobe Flash Player. The exploit is delivered via a malicious web page that serves a crafted SWF file to the victim's browser. The module is designed to target Windows 7 SP1 (32-bit) and Windows 8.1 systems running vulnerable versions of Adobe Flash Player (14.0.0.125, 14.0.0.145, 14.0.0.176, 14.0.0.179) in Internet Explorer 8-11 or Firefox 38.0.5. The exploit works by embedding a malicious SWF file in an HTML page, which is served to the victim. The SWF file is responsible for triggering the vulnerability and executing a payload, which is base64-encoded and passed to the Flash object via FlashVars. The module leverages Metasploit's BrowserExploitServer to serve the exploit and payload. The only external endpoint referenced is the official Macromedia Flash Player ActiveX control CAB file, used in the HTML template. The exploit provides arbitrary code execution in the context of the browser process, allowing for further compromise of the victim's system.
