A directory boundary enforcement flaw exists in the Perl DBI module through version 1.643 in the DBD::File driver family. When a connection is configured with the f_dir attribute in the data source name to restrict accessible table files to specific directories, DBD::File can still open files from other folders. The issue stems from an incomplete fix for CVE-2014-10401, leaving path validation insufficient to reliably confine file access to the intended directory set.
