CVE-2014-125113 is an unrestricted file upload vulnerability in Dell (formerly Quest) KACE K1000 System Management Appliance affecting version 5.0 through 5.3, 5.4 before 5.4.76849, and 5.5 before 5.5.90547. The flaw is present in the download_agent.php endpoint, which allows an attacker to upload arbitrary PHP files into a temporary directory that is web-accessible. Those uploaded files can subsequently be executed when backend code includes files from attacker-controlled paths. In practical terms, the issue is not limited to arbitrary file placement; it can lead to execution of attacker-supplied PHP code on the appliance.

This repository contains a single Metasploit module (modules/exploits/unix/http/dell_kace_k1000_upload.rb) targeting a file upload vulnerability in Dell KACE K1000 appliances (versions 5.0 to 5.3, 5.4 prior to 5.4.76849, and 5.5 prior to 5.5.90547). The exploit allows unauthenticated attackers to upload a PHP payload via the /service/kbot_upload.php endpoint, which is then executed to achieve remote code execution as the 'www' user. The module further abuses the KSudoClient::RunCommandWait function to escalate privileges to root. The exploit is operational, providing arbitrary command execution and privilege escalation. The code is written in Ruby and is structured as a standard Metasploit module, with clear separation of check and exploit routines. The main fingerprintable endpoints are the vulnerable upload handler and the temporary PHP file location used for payload execution.
