Arris Touchstone DG950A cable modems running software version 7.10.131 are configured with an SNMP community string of 'public' by default. This allows remote attackers to retrieve sensitive configuration data, including WiFi SSIDs, passwords, WPA PSKs, and WEP keys, via unauthenticated SNMP requests. The vulnerability is trivially exploitable using standard SNMP tools and affects a large number of devices exposed to the internet.

This repository contains a single Metasploit auxiliary scanner module (modules/auxiliary/scanner/snmp/arris_dg950.rb) targeting Arris DG950A cable modems. The module exploits an information disclosure vulnerability (CVE-2014-4863) via SNMP to enumerate and extract sensitive WiFi configuration data, including the admin password, SSID, WEP keys, and WPA/WPA2 pre-shared keys. It does so by querying specific SNMP OIDs associated with the device's configuration. The module is written in Ruby and is intended to be run within the Metasploit Framework. The attack vector is network-based, requiring SNMP access to the target device. The extracted data is saved as loot within Metasploit for further analysis. No hardcoded IPs or URLs are present; all targeting is done via SNMP OIDs.
