A privilege escalation vulnerability in the Microsoft Windows Kerberos Key Distribution Center (KDC) allows a remote authenticated domain user to obtain domain administrator privileges by submitting a Kerberos ticket containing a forged signature or checksum. The flaw affects supported Windows client and server versions including Windows Server 2003 SP2, Windows Vista SP2, Windows Server 2008 SP2 and R2 SP1, Windows 7 SP1, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, and Windows Server 2012 and 2012 R2. The issue is commonly referred to as the Kerberos Checksum Vulnerability and was addressed by Microsoft in MS14-068. Exploitation abuses improper validation of cryptographic integrity data in Kerberos tickets by the KDC, enabling an attacker with a valid low-privilege domain account to craft a ticket that is accepted with elevated authorization data.

This repository contains a single Metasploit auxiliary module targeting the MS14-068 vulnerability (CVE-2014-6324) in Microsoft Kerberos. The module exploits a flaw in the validation of the Privilege Attribute Certificate (PAC) in Kerberos TGS requests, allowing a domain user to forge a Kerberos ticket with arbitrary privileges, such as Domain Administrator. The exploit requires valid domain user credentials and the user's SID. Upon successful exploitation, the module generates a forged Kerberos TGT ticket and exports it as a MIT Kerberos Credential Cache file, which can be used with tools like Mimikatz for further attacks (e.g., pass-the-ticket). The module is written in Ruby and is designed to be run within the Metasploit framework. The attack vector is network-based, targeting the Kerberos authentication protocol on a vulnerable Active Directory domain controller.
