CVE-2014-8111 is an access-control and information-disclosure vulnerability in Apache Tomcat Connectors mod_jk versions 1.2.0 through 1.2.40. mod_jk did not collapse multiple adjacent slashes in a request URI before comparing the URI with configured JkMount and JkUnmount patterns. Consequently, a JkUnmount rule excluding a subtree beneath an earlier JkMount rule could be ignored when a request used adjacent slashes, allowing the request to be routed to functionality intended to remain unmounted or private.
