CVE-2014-8114 is a path-traversal vulnerability in the default UberFire Framework 0.3.x implementations of FileUploadServlet and FileDownloadServlet. The servlets did not adequately restrict user-controlled filesystem paths to an intended directory. In applications that exposed these servlets, a remote attacker could use the download functionality to access files readable by the application-container process, or use the upload functionality to write attacker-controlled content to accessible filesystem locations. Writing executable or subsequently interpreted content can lead to arbitrary code execution.
