CVE-2015-0336 is a type confusion vulnerability in the legacy ActionScript 2 engine of Adobe Flash Player. A crafted ActionScript sequence can cause an object that is not a NetConnection object to be processed as one. Observed exploitation used ASnative and a fake NetConnection object to corrupt vector objects, including vector length fields, obtaining broad memory control. The exploit subsequently constructed a ROP chain and shellcode and redirected a FileReference object's cancel method to attacker-controlled code, resulting in arbitrary code execution.

This repository contains a single Metasploit module that exploits CVE-2015-0336, a type confusion vulnerability in the NetConnection class of Adobe Flash Player. The exploit targets both Windows and Linux platforms running vulnerable versions of Flash Player (<= 16.0.0.305 for Windows, <= 11.2.202.442 for Linux) in browsers such as Internet Explorer and Firefox. The module serves a malicious HTML page that embeds a crafted SWF file, which, when loaded by a vulnerable Flash Player, allows the attacker to execute arbitrary code on the victim's machine. The exploit is operational and delivers a shellcode payload via Flash, with the payload and trigger SWF files loaded from the Metasploit data directory. The only network endpoint directly referenced is the standard Macromedia Flash ActiveX control CAB file. The module is well-structured, with clear separation of exploit logic, payload delivery, and browser targeting, and is intended for use within the Metasploit framework.
