CVE-2015-2993 describes two critical vulnerabilities in SysAid Help Desk prior to version 15.2: (1) improper access control on the /createnewaccount endpoint allows unauthenticated remote attackers to create administrator accounts, and (2) insufficient validation of the fileName parameter in the /userentry endpoint allows remote attackers to write to arbitrary files on the server. Both vulnerabilities can be exploited without authentication, enabling attackers to gain administrative privileges or overwrite files on the system.

This repository contains a single Metasploit auxiliary module (modules/auxiliary/admin/http/sysaid_admin_acct.rb) that exploits CVE-2015-2993, a vulnerability in SysAid Help Desk 14.4 (tested on both Windows and Linux). The exploit allows an unauthenticated attacker to create a new administrator account by sending a crafted HTTP GET request to the /sysaid/createnewaccount endpoint with attacker-supplied credentials. The module requires the attacker to specify the target's port, path, and desired credentials for the new admin account. The exploit can only be used once per target, as subsequent attempts will fail. The code is written in Ruby and is designed to be run within the Metasploit framework. No detection or fake code is present; the module is operational and provides a real attack capability.
