CVE-2016-0763 is an improper access-control vulnerability in Apache Tomcat's ResourceLinkFactory. The public ResourceLinkFactory.setGlobalContext() method could be invoked by web applications executing under a Java SecurityManager without verifying that the caller was authorized to change the global context. A malicious web application could supply a crafted global context, bypassing intended inter-application isolation enforced by the SecurityManager. The issue affects Tomcat 7.0.0 through 7.0.67, Tomcat 8.0.0.RC1 through 8.0.30, and Tomcat 9.0.0.M1 through 9.0.0.M2.
