CVE-2016-3110 is an improper-input-validation vulnerability in mod_cluster service-message processing using the Mod-Cluster Management Protocol (MCMP). A specially crafted MCMP message containing a series of equals characters following a legitimate element can trigger a segmentation fault in the Apache HTTP Server process. The issue affects Apache HTTP Server deployments using vulnerable mod_cluster components, including Red Hat JBoss Web Server 2.1.0 and affected Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform 6 and 6.4 native-component deployments.
