CVE-2016-6306 is a low-severity out-of-bounds read vulnerability in OpenSSL certificate-message parsing during TLS/SSL handshakes. Missing message-length validation when processing client certificate, client certificate request, or server certificate messages can cause reads of up to two bytes past an allocated buffer. It affects OpenSSL 1.0.1 releases before 1.0.1u and OpenSSL 1.0.2 releases before 1.0.2i; OpenSSL 1.1.0 is not affected.
