Apache Tomcat ResourceLinkFactory did not enforce the restriction that a web application may access only global JNDI resources explicitly exposed to it through a ResourceLink. Consequently, a deployed web application could resolve and access global JNDI resources that had not been linked in that application's configuration. Affected releases are Tomcat 6.0.0 through 6.0.45, 7.0.0 through 7.0.70, 8.0.0.RC1 through 8.0.36, 8.5.0 through 8.5.4, and 9.0.0.M1 through 9.0.0.M9.
