CVE-2016-8580 is a PHP object injection vulnerability affecting multiple widget files in AlienVault OSSIM and USM prior to version 5.3.2. The vulnerability arises from insecure use of the unserialize() function on user-supplied input, allowing attackers to instantiate arbitrary PHP objects. By leveraging magic methods in included classes, an attacker can achieve arbitrary PHP code execution. This vulnerability can be exploited in conjunction with other flaws, such as authentication bypass and SQL injection, to fully compromise the affected system.
