CVE-2018-10561 is an authentication bypass vulnerability in Dasan GPON home routers. The flaw allows an unauthenticated remote attacker to access web interface resources that should require authentication by appending the "?images" string to protected request URIs, such as administrative pages and form handlers. Because the device improperly treats these modified requests as authorized, an attacker can reach privileged management functionality without valid credentials. This weakness has been widely paired with CVE-2018-10562, a command injection flaw in the same product line, to achieve unauthenticated remote command execution and full device compromise.
