CVE-2018-25120 is a command injection vulnerability in D-Link DNS-343 ShareCenter devices running firmware 1.05 and earlier. The issue is present in the Mail Test functionality, where the web maintenance script submits data to the internal goForm endpoint '/goform/Mail_Test'. Multiple form parameters are incorporated directly into a call to a system email utility without proper input validation or sanitization. Because attacker-controlled input reaches a shell-invoked command path, a remote attacker can inject arbitrary shell metacharacters and commands. The vulnerability is exploitable without authentication and results in command execution in the context of the device's root account.
