CVE-2019-12814 is a polymorphic deserialization vulnerability in FasterXML jackson-databind versions 2.x through 2.9.9. When Default Typing is enabled globally or for a property on an externally exposed JSON endpoint, Jackson can deserialize attacker-controlled type information through JDOM 1.x or 2.x classes present on the application classpath. A crafted JSON message can thereby cause disclosure of arbitrary local files accessible to the server process.

This repository is a proof-of-concept (PoC) exploit for CVE-2019-12814, a vulnerability in the Jackson-databind Java library that allows remote code execution (RCE) and server-side request forgery (SSRF) via unsafe deserialization. The main exploit logic is implemented in 'src/main/java/com/jacksonTest/Poc.java', which demonstrates two payloads: one for SSRF (using a DNS logging domain) and one for RCE (using the H2 database to fetch and execute a remote SQL script via HTTP). The repository includes a Maven configuration (pom.xml) specifying the vulnerable Jackson-databind version (2.9.8) and required dependencies. The 'simpleTest.json' file provides a sample input for deserialization attacks. The exploit requires the target application to deserialize untrusted data with Jackson and have default typing enabled. No detection scripts or fake code are present; the code is a functional PoC for the specified CVE.
