CVE-2020-26948 is a server-side request forgery (SSRF) vulnerability in Emby Server before version 4.5.0. According to the provided content, the issue is exposed via the Items/RemoteSearch/Image functionality and specifically the ImageURL parameter. An attacker can supply a crafted URL in ImageURL, causing the Emby server to initiate a request to an attacker-chosen destination instead of restricting requests to trusted remote resources. This can allow the vulnerable server to be used as a proxy for outbound requests to internal or otherwise inaccessible network locations.
