CVE-2020-29557 is a buffer overflow vulnerability affecting D-Link DIR-825 R1 devices through firmware version 3.0.1 prior to 2020-11-20. The flaw is present in the router's web management interface and can be triggered remotely without authentication. By sending crafted input to the vulnerable web interface component, an attacker can overflow a memory buffer and corrupt adjacent process memory, potentially gaining control of execution flow.
