CVE-2020-36836 is an arbitrary file deletion vulnerability in the WP Fastest Cache plugin for WordPress affecting versions up to and including 0.9.0.2. The flaw is caused by missing capability checks combined with insufficient path validation in functionality that handles file or directory deletion. As a result, an authenticated user with only minimal privileges can invoke the vulnerable deletion logic and cause removal of files outside the intended scope on the server.
