CVE-2021-20609 is an uncontrolled resource consumption vulnerability affecting multiple Mitsubishi Electric MELSEC PLC series, including iQ-R, Q, L, and MELIPC. The vulnerability allows a remote, unauthenticated attacker to send specially crafted packets to the device, resulting in resource exhaustion and a denial-of-service (DoS) condition. The affected device becomes unresponsive and requires a system reset to recover normal operation.
