CVE-2021-22987 is an authenticated remote command execution vulnerability in the Traffic Management User Interface (TMUI), also known as the Configuration utility, of F5 BIG-IP when the system is running in Appliance mode. The flaw affects BIG-IP 16.0.x before 16.0.1.1, 15.1.x before 15.1.2.1, 14.1.x before 14.1.4, 13.1.x before 13.1.3.6, 12.1.x before 12.1.5.3, and 11.6.x before 11.6.5.3. The vulnerable functionality resides in undisclosed TMUI pages and permits an authenticated user to inject and execute arbitrary commands through the management interface. Successful exploitation can result in arbitrary code execution on the underlying appliance and may lead to complete system compromise.
