CVE-2021-22988 is an authenticated remote command execution vulnerability in the Traffic Management User Interface (TMUI), also known as the BIG-IP Configuration utility, affecting multiple F5 BIG-IP versions prior to vendor-fixed releases. The flaw exists in undisclosed TMUI pages and allows an already authenticated user with network access to the Configuration utility to execute arbitrary system commands on the underlying system. Reported post-exploitation actions include creating or deleting files and disabling services. Because TMUI is a privileged administrative interface on BIG-IP systems, successful exploitation can result in complete system compromise.
